IPL 2026, RCB: The final of IPL 2026 will be played on May 31 (Sunday) between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. RCB, captained by Rajat Patidar, will take the field with the intention of defending its title. Bengaluru had won the first title last season (2025). Gujarat will also have its eyes on the second trophy.
RCB eyes on creating history by winning consecutive trophies
Let us tell you that RCB can create history by winning the trophy continuously. After Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, RCB can become the third team to win two consecutive trophies.
Chennai Super Kings: Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, Chennai won 2 consecutive trophies in 2010 and 2011. CSK became the first team to do so.
Mumbai Indians: Mumbai Indians, captained by Rohit Sharma, had won 2 consecutive titles in 2019 and 2020. Mumbai became the second team to be included in this list.
RCB has a chance to create history
Now Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar has a chance to join this special list. Bengaluru won the title in 2025. Now it will be interesting to see whether the franchise is able to win the trophy in 2026 or not.

Patidar became the first captain to make Bengaluru win the trophy. Before this, many greats including Virat Kohli took command of the team, but could not win the title.
