He said, “I think the selectors will keep a close eye on Rohit’s performance in the next six months. So that they can decide whether they can be included in the team or not. But about Virat Kohli, I am sure that he is completely confident and he will participate in the ODI World Cup.

Karim said, “Kohli’s performance and fitness have been excellent and his hunger for runs remains the same as before. He doesn’t need to prove anything.

Kohli has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan starting on June 13 due to a muscle strain. Whereas Rohit will have to prove his fitness before playing in this series.

Virat is certain to play.

Saba Karim said that there is no crisis in the place of veteran batsman Virat Kohli. According to Karim, the selectors are completely satisfied that Kohli is fit and will be a part of the 2027 ODI World Cup. He said, ‘I don’t think Virat needs to prove anything to the selectors’.
