The political temperature has risen regarding the upcoming elections to be held on the vacant seats of Bihar Legislative Council. The last date of nomination for the elections to be held on 9 seats of Bihar Legislative Council and by-election to be held on one seat has been fixed as June 11. Just before this, on Friday (5 June 2026), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) surprised everyone by releasing the list of its four candidates. The first and biggest name in this list was that of Bhojpuri world’s ‘Powerstar’ Pawan Singh.

Pawan Singh reached BJP’s state office in the capital Patna on Saturday (6 June 2026), the very next day after the candidate was declared for the MLC elections. There the party leaders and workers gave him a grand welcome. After this, as soon as the media cameras came in front of them, ‘Powerstar’ gave a big statement in its reaction. He said that the party is my mother.

When the media surrounded Pawan Singh after meeting senior party leaders at the BJP office, he expressed his views in a very emotional and measured manner. Expressing his gratitude to the party leadership, Pawan Singh said, “I would say that the party is my mother. I am a true servant of the BJP family and will remain so throughout my life. I have to serve only the public with a true heart and a pure mind.”

Along with this, Pawan Singh expressed special gratitude to BJP leader Sanjay Saraogi. He said, “I salute Sanjay Saraogi ji from the bottom of my heart and thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.”

Entry of ‘Powerstar’ in election equations

There was speculation for a long time about this Legislative Council election to be held in Bihar, but BJP has played a big bet by making Pawan Singh its candidate. Manipulation is going on for 9 seats of Bihar Legislative Council and 1 by-election seat. BJP had released the list of its 4 candidates on Friday (05 June), in which Pawan Singh’s name was at the top. The attitude and statement of Pawan Singh, who reached Patna office on Saturday (06 June), has made it clear that he is very serious about his new political innings.

After making Pawan Singh the candidate, there is tremendous enthusiasm among his fans and BJP workers, while in the opposition camp too, the stir regarding new electoral equations has intensified. The last date for nomination is June 11, before which Pawan Singh will file his nomination.
