Petrol-Diesel Rate Today on June 7: The household budget of common consumers of the country has received a big blow today as the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 29. The government has increased the prices of LPG due to increasing tension in West Asia and increasing fears of supply disruption in the Middle East.
This is the second increase in domestic LPG prices in the last three months after the increase of Rs 60 in March this year. After this change, the price of domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi has increased from Rs 915.50 to Rs 944.50. This increase is applicable to domestic cooking gas cylinders in major cities of the country, while there is no change in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders.
Changed price of petrol and diesel?
After the increase in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders, it is a matter of relief that today there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in the country. Even though prices have not increased today due to the West Asia crisis, government oil companies are still selling fuel at much less than the cost. At present, they are incurring a loss of about Rs 11 per liter on petrol and Rs 33.6 per liter on diesel.

Where is the cheapest and most expensive petrol in the country?
On May 25, 2026, the highest price of petrol in Hyderabad was Rs 115.69 per liter. After this, Thiruvananthapuram was next, where the price of petrol was Rs 115.49 per liter. On the other hand, among the cities included in the list, the price of petrol in Chandigarh is the lowest at Rs 98.10 per liter. Petrol prices in Lucknow and New Delhi were also lower compared to many metro cities, where they were Rs 102.05 and Rs 102.12 per liter respectively.
In case of diesel, the highest price has been recorded in Thiruvananthapuram at Rs 104.40 per liter. After this, the price of diesel in Hyderabad is Rs 103.82 per liter. Among the cities included in the list, the price of diesel in Chandigarh is the lowest at Rs 86.09 per liter.
