Ex CIA officer Under Arrest: An American judge has ordered the former CIA officer to be kept in custody until his trial. The judge agreed with the government lawyers that he was a flight risk because of his intelligence background, access to sensitive information and alleged attempts to hide property. 49 year old David Rush is accused of stealing government funds. Government lawyers have described him as a master manipulator. According to the report of CBS News, during the hearing held in Virginia on Friday, government lawyers had argued that Rush cannot be trusted. He is completely capable of breaking the rules.

The fraud allegations relate to time sheet claims. According to documents submitted in the court, Rush had top secret security clearance. He held a senior position in an American government agency. After the FBI received information from the CIA, investigators started investigating their activities. The allegation is that Rush submitted fake time sheets. This has resulted in wrong payment of 7 lakh dollars. The investigating officers have got huge property.

More than 300 gold bricks were found
According to reports, the FBI recovered more than 300 gold bars worth approximately $40 million, approximately $2 million in cash and more than 30 luxury watches. The government lawyer has claimed that Rush had received gold bars and foreign currency for work-related expenses between November 2025 and March 2026. Their correct account was not given. At the same time, the defense side has rejected the allegations. Rush’s defense team has rejected the allegations and termed some of the government’s claims as sensational.
