Air defense system active in Iran after US attack
Xinhua News Agency quoted Iranian media as saying that in the early hours of Wednesday (June 10), several explosions were heard in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Sirik County and Jask County in southern Iran and air defense systems were activated. At the same time, sounds of six explosions were heard in Serik, Qeshm Island and the southern city of Minab. American fighter jets attacked these areas.

Trump had warned of retaliatory attack

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump had alleged that Iran has shot down a US Army helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz and America will respond to it.

Trump said that both pilots aboard the helicopter were safe and were not injured. He also said, ‘Nevertheless, it is necessary for America to respond to this attack. The helicopter crashed, but both crew members were saved. The situation remains very delicate.
