Competition is continuously increasing in the Indian SUV market and almost every company is preparing to launch new models. In this series, Hyundai is also planning to strengthen its SUV range. Recently a new SUV of the company has been seen during testing on Indian roads. It is believed that this SUV will be based on Hyundai Bayon sold in the international market. Interestingly, this new SUV can make its place between Hyundai Venue and Hyundai Creta, which will give customers a new option.

Hyundai is currently making this new SUV with the codename BC4i. Initially it was believed that it would be a sub-4 meter SUV like Maruti Fronx, but according to the information now revealed, its length could be around 4.18 meters. This means that it could be a new mid-size SUV, bigger than the Venue and of similar size to the Creta.

The pictures revealed during testing show that the front design of the SUV will be quite modern. It has a split headlamp setup, which appears somewhat similar to the new Venue. LED DRLs are provided at the top and headlight unit at the bottom. Apart from this, the front grille has also been given a new design, which gives the SUV a more premium look.

Car design and features

Talking about the side profile, its design seems to be largely inspired by the Global Bayon. Newly designed alloy wheels, roof rails and strong body cladding can be seen in the SUV. Split-style lighting can also be provided at the rear, which will make its look modern and attractive.

The company has not yet released official pictures of the interior, but it is expected to have features like large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, wireless connectivity, panoramic sunroof and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) like Hyundai’s other premium SUVs.

vehicle power

Hyundai can provide naturally aspirated petrol engine in this SUV. Along with this, the company can also offer CNG option. If this happens, it will be Hyundai’s first SUV larger than 4 meters to get a factory-fitted CNG option. In view of the rising fuel prices, this option can prove to be very attractive for the customers. Some reports have also indicated that the option of turbo petrol engine can also be available in the SUV, so that the customers who like performance can also be attracted.
