Under this scheme, poor families, widows, divorced, women players, orphan girls etc. are given financial assistance for their marriage. Under the scheme, an amount ranging from ₹ 31,000 to ₹ 71,000 is given as “Kanyadaan”, which depends on the social status and family income of the girl.
