US President Donald Trump has given a statement regarding the agreement regarding the deal with Iran and the attack on the ship carrying Indian sailors. The Foreign Ministry summoned the US Ambassador twice after the attacks on ships with Indian crew members near the Oman coast. Donald Trump said that Indian ships were not attacked by America, but by Iran.

Trump’s statement regarding attack on Indian ships

Trump posted on Truth Social and wrote, ‘Last night, Iran carried out a drone attack on Indian ships leaving the Strait of Hormuz, which was completely foiled by America. This cannot be tolerated at any cost. Trump further wrote that Iran will have to immediately improve its actions. The American diplomat was called for talks by the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs on Friday (12 June 2026). This is the second time that India has summoned a US Embassy official regarding this issue.

Trump has made this allegation on Iran at a time when Tehran’s Joint Military Command had announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday (11 June 2026). Iran warned that now if any vessel, including oil tankers and merchant ships, tries to pass through this route, it will be attacked.

Iran leaked fake news: Trump

Apart from this, Donald Trump accused Iran of leaking fake news of the agreement. Trump said, ‘The terms of the agreement that Iran has leaked to the media have nothing to do with the written agreement that both sides agreed to. The bad statement they (Iran) have given about the deal being made is far from the truth. It is very disrespectful to have any dealings with these people. There is no such thing as talking honestly with them. This is really surprising.

The US President said that he has talked to the leaders of many countries of West Asia including Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Pakistan regarding the new round of talks. Later, while addressing a digital rally organized in support of Georgia’s Lieutenant Governor Bert Jones, Trump claimed that America has ended the war with Iran.

Hope to sign deal in Europe: Trump

US President Donald Trump had said 24 hours ago that the agreement to end the war with Iran is almost finalized and is expected to be signed in Europe by the end of this week. Trump said in the ‘Oval Office’ on Thursday (June 11, 2026) that Vice President J.D. Vance may attend the signing of the agreement, which will probably be held in Europe this weekend.
