The former Chief Minister of Bengal has challenged the defeat from Bhawanipur seat in the High Court. On June 16, Mamata Banerjee filed a petition in the Calcutta High Court. On Monday morning, the former Chief Minister suddenly reached the High Court. Where he has challenged the assembly results. MPs Derek O’Brien, Dola Sena, and Kalyan Banerjee were present with Mamata Banerjee. According to the report, Mamata Banerjee had reached the High Court to sign the documents of the petition.
Mamta Banerjee was defeated by 15 thousand votes
In the recently held West Bengal Assembly elections, there was a direct contest between Mamata Banerjee and Shubhendu Adhikari from Bhawanipur seat. West Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari has won this seat. He is also the first Chief Minister of the BJP government of the state. Mamata Banerjee had to face defeat on this seat. There was a close contest on this seat. Shubhendu Adhikari had defeated Mamata Banerjee on this seat by about 15 thousand votes. While on one hand Subhendu Adhikari got 73917 votes, Mamata Banerjee got 58812 votes.

TMC is going through its difficult times
20 TMC MPs have recently announced their merger with the National Citizens Party. Mamta Banerjee has suffered a big shock. 20 rebel MPs had announced their merger with this party on Sunday. Everyone met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Sunday and also submitted a memorandum. On this, rebel Kakoli Ghosh had said that there are 20 MPs in this rebel group who met the Speaker. Their number is more than two-thirds of the party’s total. TMC has faced a crushing defeat in the recently concluded West Bengal Assembly elections. Since then, there is continuous discord within TMC. Here many MPs have rebelled against the party and decided to merge with other parties.
