Actually, a social media user had shared a photo through his account. Along with this photo, the user had told that a person in Sikkim had filled his car with E-20 fuel, after which ants got stuck on the lid of his car’s petrol tank. Along with this, the user had also shared a photo, in which ants were actually visible on the cap of the petrol tank. Now the truth of this news has been exposed by both the government and BPCL.

What is the truth of the news?
Government agency PIB Fact Check has declared this news completely wrong. Has shared a screenshot of this social media post through his official X (Twitter) account. On which the agency has clearly written that this is FAKE news. While sharing this, it is written in the caption, ‘Many posts are going viral on social media in which it is being claimed that ants are gathering on the fuel filler cap of vehicles running on E20 petrol.’

Describing the truth of this news, the agency wrote, ‘Be careful! These claims are #Fake. There is no scientific basis between E20 fuel and attraction of ants. There is no element in E20 fuel that would attract ants or other insects to gather around the fuel cap of the vehicle.

BPCL also told the truth
Not only the Indian Government agency but also BPCL itself has completely rejected this news. He has completely denied the truth of this claim through his official X (Twitter) account. He has written in his post that BPCL has thoroughly tested this claim, after which the result has come out that this claim is completely hollow.

Let us tell you that such news is coming out because E-20 fuel is made from sugarcane. In such a situation, people have claimed that due to the sweetness of sugarcane, ants are sticking to this fuel. Although this is completely false.
