A total of 29 agendas were approved in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday (June 17, 2026) under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. In this, under a special scheme, it was decided that the government will provide Sindhu Darshan to the citizens of Bihar.
Who will get the benefit of the scheme?
A special plan has been prepared for Sindhu Darshan. This has been approved by the cabinet on Wednesday. Under this, people of 18 years of age or above can avail its benefits. Every year a maximum of 100 people will be taken on this journey.
Must be a native of the state
Information was given that for this it is mandatory for the person to be a native of the state. After completing the pilgrimage, 50 percent of the travel expenses or a maximum of Rs 20 thousand per pilgrim will be given in the form of reimbursement grant.
What is Sindhu Darshan Pilgrimage Scheme? (Sindhu Darshan Tirth Yatra Scheme)
That is, if understood in simple words, under the Sindhu Darshan Pilgrimage Financial Assistance Scheme, the natives of Bihar will be able to go to Ladakh and travel to the Indus River and will also be able to get financial assistance from the government. This can be called a fun plan.

Tour tourist places by helicopter
On the other hand, you can visit the tourist places of the state by helicopter. Chief Minister Bihar Heli Tourism Service Scheme 2026 has been approved. Under this, Valmikinagar (West Champaran), Maa Mundeshwari Temple (Kaimur) and Rajgir (Nalanda) have been included in the first phase.
Government aircraft will be used for Valmikinagar and rented 6+2 seater category helicopter will be used for Kaimur and Rajgir. To avail the benefits of this scheme, it will be mandatory for tourists to select a tourism package. Apart from this, helicopter joy ride will be operated every Saturday and Sunday to provide aerial view of the skyline of Patna city. Talking about money, you will have to pay Rs 2100 per seat.
