License suspended for six months
Actually, action has been taken against Ola cabs in Chandigarh. Chandigarh administration has suspended the license of the company for six months. According to the Chandigarh administration, the company was not following some important rules and guidelines properly. For this reason this decision was taken.
According to the information, the Transport Department had received many complaints regarding the operation of the company. After this the matter was investigated and it was found that some rules were not followed. After completion of the investigation, the administration took action against Ola and suspended its license for six months.
Order to suspend Ola’s license
According to the suspension order, in the complaints received by the Transport Authority, it was stated that ANI Technologies Private Limited was not following the rules of Chandigarh Administration Motor Vehicle Aggregators Rules 2025. Due to which this step was taken. In such a situation, the licensing authority ordered to suspend the aggregator license of Ola.
Who may be affected?
This decision can have the biggest impact on those people who use Ola cabs daily. After the license is suspended, passengers may have to resort to other cab services. At the same time, it may also affect the earnings of drivers associated with Ola as their bookings may reduce. However, it is not that the company does not have a chance to present its views. If Ola removes the shortcomings pointed out by the administration and follows all the necessary rules, then its license can be reinstated in future.
