NEET Re Exam 2026: NEET UG exam is being conducted across the country today on 21st June. More than 22 lakh candidates are going to appear in this examination. The examination will start at 2:00 pm, but candidates will have to reach the examination center much before this. NTA has made the security arrangements more stringent this time. In such a situation, even small carelessness can put the candidates in trouble. Therefore, before leaving home, it is important to carefully check the necessary documents, dress code and rules related to the examination.
It is most important to arrive on time
According to NTA, entry at the examination centers will start from 11:00 am and entry will be available till 1:30 pm. After this no person will be allowed to enter the centre. The examination will run from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. Whereas disabled candidates will be given extra time. Candidates have been advised to reach the center well in advance keeping in mind the traffic, weather and time taken for security check, so that last minute rush can be avoided.

Keep important documents with you
Printed admit card is the most important document for admission to the examination centres. NTA has clarified that only the new admit card issued for the June 21 exam will be valid. Admission will not be available on the basis of old admit card. Apart from this, candidates will have to carry any original photo identity card like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License or PAN Card. It is also important to carry a passport size photograph. PWBD category candidates will also have to bring relevant certificates.
What can and cannot be taken to the examination centre?
Candidates can carry only transparent water bottle, important documents and transparent folder or pouch. Apart from this, no extra luggage will be allowed to be taken to the examination centre. Whereas mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, calculators, notes, books, papers, electronic gadgets, handbags, purses and other digital devices are completely banned. Candidates caught with any prohibited item may be debarred from the examination. Jewellery, metal ornaments, heavy hair clips and other metal objects are also not allowed inside the examination centre.

Pay attention to the dress code
This time NTA has also issued instructions regarding dress code. Candidates should come wearing light and simple clothes. For boys, half sleeve t-shirt or shirt and normal pants are considered suitable. Whereas girl students can wear simple kurti, salwar suit or light clothes. It has been advised to avoid wearing clothes with full sleeves, heavily embroidered clothes, dresses, jackets, hoodies and clothes with big buttons. In footwear, only slippers or low heel sandals will be allowed. Closed shoes and boots are banned. Candidates coming wearing religious or traditional dress will have to undergo extra security check. Such candidates have been advised to reach the center much before the examination time.
