A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Miyapur area of Medchal Malkajgiri district of Telangana, where 20-year-old medical aspirant Sana from Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh committed suicide by hanging herself in her house on Saturday (20 June 2026) night. The incident occurred just hours before the re-examination of NEET-UG 2026, when she was alone in her Kalpana apartment in Miyapur. His father Jafar Hussain was in Kuwait at this time. Miyapur police have registered the case and started investigation and the body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.
According to Police Inspector P. Shiv Prasad, Sana was under deep mental stress for the last several days due to the increasing pressure of NEET exam and the fear of not being able to live up to the expectations of the family. Police have found a suicide note from her room, in which she has clearly written that no one is responsible for her death and she is taking this step purely due to mental pressure.

What did Miyapur Inspector say on the matter?
Miyapur inspector said, “We have found a note in which she has written that she was unable to bear the stress and felt that she could not live up to her parents’ expectations. We are investigating every aspect and appeal to the students not to let the exam pressure dominate them. If needed, they can contact counselors or family members.” The officer said that no suspicious activity has been detected so far. This tragic incident has happened at a time when the re-examination of NEET-UG 2026 is being held across the country on Sunday, June 21. The original exam was canceled on May 3 due to the paper leak controversy.
