Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur created history in the match against South Africa. She reached such a figure which no male or female cricketer could ever reach before. The 18th match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2026 is being played between India and South Africa in Manchester, which is Harman’s 200th T20 International match.

First cricketer to play 200 matches

Harmanpreet Kaur has become the first cricketer in the world to play 200 T20 International matches. Let us tell you that no male cricketer has ever been able to make the record of playing 200 matches. Let us tell you that the record of playing most T20 International matches in men’s cricket is held in the name of Paul Stirling, who has played 163 matches. Rohit Sharma has played the most matches for India, who is second in the overall list and has retired from T20. Rohit played 159 T20 International matches in his career.

Special jersey presented to Harmanpreet Kaur

Before the India vs South Africa match in the Women’s World Cup, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and head coach Amol Majumdar presented Harmanpreet Kaur a special number ‘200’ jersey and cap signed by the entire team.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s T20 record

Harmanpreet started her international career in 2009. He played his debut T20 match against England on June 11, 2019. His 200th T20 International match is against South Africa on Sunday. In this match, she was out after scoring 24 runs in 22 balls. Harman has scored 4147 runs in 200 matches played in T20, which includes 1 century and 17 half-centuries.
