The police has got a big success in the much talked about gang rape case of a woman that took place on June 11 in Chakia police station area of Begusarai district of Bihar. After the incident, when the matter gained prominence in the media, the police formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Now, taking immediate action, the joint team of SIT and STF has arrested the main accused Nitish Kumar and another accused Amar Nishad alias Mecca Medina.
Arrests made from Faridabad and Diara
The accused were hiding in other states to avoid arrest. On the basis of technical surveillance, a special team of police arrested the main accused Nitish Kumar from Bhupani police station area of Faridabad. Meanwhile, the second accused Amar Nishad has been arrested by the police from the local Diara area.

Weapons and bike recovered, separate FIR registered
The police have also recovered a country-made pistol, 2 live cartridges and the bike used in the incident from the arrested accused. Regarding the recovery of illegal weapons, the police have registered another separate FIR against the accused under the Arms Act and have started further legal action.
SP Manish made the revelation in a press conference
Begusarai SP Manish exposed this entire matter in a press conference. He told that on June 11, 5 criminals had committed this heinous incident in Chakia police station area, the FIR for which was registered on June 13. SP said that both the arrested accused have accepted their involvement in the incident. The main accused Nitish Kumar also has a previous criminal history.
Joint operation of SIT and STF
This entire operation is being led by Sadar SDPO-1 Anand Kumar Pandey and Sadar SDPO-2 Durga Shakti. District police force, DIU and STF teams were involved in this action. SP Manish has claimed that the police are continuously conducting raids and soon the remaining 3 absconding accused in this high-profile case will also be arrested and sent behind the bars.
