This interesting incident is from Anqiu Wildlife Park in Weifang city of China. In the viral video, it can be clearly seen that black stripes have been made on a donkey in a very bad manner, due to which it looks a bit like a zebra from a distance. When the zoo started being criticized on the internet, an employee there gave a strange clarification on social media, writing, “We were just doing animal cosplay, we never claimed that this is a real zebra. We did not even put any such board outside the cage. It was just a joke, so that the people coming here could laugh a little and be entertained.” The employees also admitted that they had done such ‘makeover’ on dogs before.
Dogs have been made ‘tigers’ in China before
Let us tell you that this is not the first case of such exchange of animals in Chinese zoos. Last year also, Shandong’s Zibo City Amusement Park had presented a donkey as a zebra, which was much appreciated. Apart from this, last year itself, Taizhou Zoo of China had crossed the limit when they painted two cute white Chow-Chow breed dogs black and orange, turning them into ‘tigers’ and kept them in a cage. At that time, people had accused the zoo of cruelty to animals, to which the representative of the zoo had hit back and said, “Humans also dye their hair. If dogs have long hair, natural color can be used on them, what is wrong in that?”

‘Chinese goods don’t last long anyway’ funny comments on social media
Seeing this video, social media users are laughing and enjoying this ‘cheap technology’ of China. One user quipped, “China’s goods are fake and without guarantee anyway, now they have made a duplicate of the zebra as well.” Another user wrote, “Zebra that runs without electricity and without eating grass, 21 gun salute to Chinese engineers.” Another user expressed concern over the safety of animals and wrote, “It is completely wrong to apply chemical paint on dumb animals in the name of entertainment, even if they call it a joke, but it is cruelty.”
