There is a long wait for monsoon this year in Mumbai. The last week of June has started, but the people of Mumbai are suffering due to the heat. Due to extreme heat and lack of rain, water shortage has also increased. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a big alert regarding rain. According to the Meteorological Department, the South-West Monsoon has continued its progress by advancing into many more parts of Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar on June 22.

South-west monsoon may advance further into Mumbai in the next 48 hours

According to the Meteorological Department, the northern limit of monsoon is currently passing through Alibaug, Pune, Nizamabad, Dantewada, Balangir, Sundergarh, Chatra, Gaya and Muzaffarpur. The Meteorological Department has said that the conditions remain favorable during the next 48 hours, due to which the South-West Monsoon may advance into the remaining parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai.

Apart from this, there is a possibility of monsoon advancing in other areas of Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar. At present, the Meteorological Department is continuously monitoring the progress of monsoon. If favorable conditions continue, the official entry of monsoon may take place in Mumbai soon.

However, rain was seen around Mumbai on June 21-22.
