Railways made rules strict
According to the notification issued by the Railway Ministry, the new rules have come into effect from June 20. According to the new rules, if caught traveling without a ticket, double the fine will be imposed. Also, if a passenger is caught reusing an already used ticket, then action will be taken against him and double the fine will be imposed. Earlier, a fine of Rs 250 was charged in these cases, which has now been increased.
Railways gave advice to passengers
Railway officials have appealed to the passengers to travel only with tickets and follow all the rules of the Railways. Also, traveling on someone else’s ticket is a violation of railway rules.
