‘Israel is still massacring children in Gaza’, UN’s big claim, warrant issued against Netanyahu

The United Nations report claims that Israel is again targeting children in Gaza. An independent UN investigative commission said on Tuesday (23 June 2026) that the Israeli army is continuing genocide-like acts against Palestinians in Gaza by deliberately targeting children. It claims that the ongoing military operations in Israel have caused great injury to Palestinian children throughout the Gaza area.

More than 1,000 Palestinians killed: UN

Citing figures from the Palestinian Health Ministry, the report said Israel has been carrying out airstrikes for the past eight months, killing more than 1,000 Palestinians, including more than 250 children. It said that about 30 percent of those killed by the Israeli army in Gaza were children.

It follows a previous report by the United Nations commission, published last year, which concluded that Israel had committed genocide in Gaza and that Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, had instigated such crimes. An arrest warrant has also been issued against Netanyahu by the International Criminal Court on charges of alleged war crimes.

Genocide intent against Palestinian people: UN

The committee said that deliberately targeting children is an indication that Israel has genocidal intentions towards the Palestinian people. It was also said that such actions continued even after the ceasefire was implemented. According to CNN report, Chairman of the Commission of Inquiry Srinivasan Muralidhar said, ‘Even after the ceasefire in October 2025, the killings and serious injuries of children continue due to Israel’s continued disregard for the ceasefire and the protection given to Palestinian children under international law.’

Israel rejects genocide allegations: UN

The Israeli government has repeatedly rejected allegations of genocide and the latest United Nations commission report condemned it. Israel’s Foreign Ministry rejected this report as propaganda. Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Danny Denon, called it a politically motivated and false report disguised as a UN document.

Israel says that Hamas has broken the ceasefire rules and has refused to surrender its weapons. According to the report, for this reason Israel has banned the transportation of construction materials and heavy machines to Gaza. Because of which most of the people of Gaza are still forced to live in tents.
