The pace of monsoon has increased in Bihar. It rained in 24 districts including Patna on Sunday (June 28) morning. The weather department has issued an orange alert. The south-west monsoon has arrived ahead of schedule in the month of June. But the monsoon stopped in some districts of North Bihar and South Bihar has been experiencing severe heat for the last two weeks.
Sometimes, light or moderate rainfall is occurring at some places, but the humid heat continues due to the increase in temperature. There is a possibility of change in the weather on Sunday. According to the Meteorological Department, the pace of monsoon is gradually progressing and its effect can be seen till July 2. The pace of monsoon will increase from Sunday and there will be rain in most of the districts of South Bihar.
Temperature falls in many districts till June 2
By June 2, most of the districts of the state will see a drop of 4 to 5 degrees in temperature along with heavy rains. On Sunday, moderate rain, strong wind blowing at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour and possibility of thunder and lightning have been recorded in the eastern and central areas of South Bihar and western areas of North Bihar. Its effect is visible since morning.
Orange alert was issued regarding rain in all 23 blocks of rural areas including Fatuha, Khusrupur of the capital Patna and it rained in most areas of Patna district since morning. There is relief from the heat due to heavy rain in the morning, but if there is strong sunlight during the day, then like before, there is a possibility that the temperature will remain close to 40 degrees even today.
If the rainy situation continues, the temperature will drop by 5 to 6 degrees. Apart from Patna, orange alert of rain after 4:00 am in Nalanda, Gayaji, Arwal, Jehanabad, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Vaishali, Samastipur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Siwan, Gopalganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Saran, Munger and Darbhanga in South Bihar. Warning of heavy rain in these districts
The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in Katihar, Purnia and Bhagalpur on Sunday, while rain conditions will continue in other districts too, but heat wave conditions may also persist in Kaimur, Rohtas, Bhojpur, Arwal, Gayaji and Shekhpura districts of the south-west region. Last Saturday, South Bihar was in the grip of scorching heat. Rain was seen in many districts of North Bihar.
Maximum rainfall was recorded in Madhepura with 76.2 mm. So there was a heatwave situation in 6 districts of South Bihar with temperatures above 40 degrees. The highest temperature was 41.7 degrees Celsius in Kaimur and a yellow alert of heatwave was issued here, but in Sheikhpura a temperature of 41.01 degrees Celsius was recorded.
There was a severe heatwave here and the temperature was recorded 7.1 degrees Celsius above normal. Apart from this, there was heatwave conditions in Gayaji, Buxar, Dehri and Aurangabad with temperatures above 40 degrees. The temperature in the capital Patna was 39.6 degrees Celsius with an increase of 0.6 degrees, while almost all the districts of South Bihar remained humid on Saturday (June 27).
