The Central Government had implemented some temporary rules on June 12, 2026 to maintain fuel availability and prevent black marketing during the West Asia crisis. Under this, a maximum of 200 liters of diesel could be given to a vehicle from a petrol pump in a day. Whereas industrial, commercial and institutional consumers were instructed to take fuel from designated consumer pumps instead of retail petrol pumps.

Supply of petrol and diesel is normal in the country – Government

The Petroleum Ministry says that now the supply of petrol and diesel in the country has become normal. The availability of fuel is sufficient and after the improvement in the situation, these restrictions are no longer needed.
