A big update has come out regarding NEET UG re-exam. The wait of lakhs of students appearing for the exam will now end very soon. National Testing Agency (NTA) has started checking the answer copies of the re-exam. According to reports, the evaluation process is going on fast and the result can be released soon.
Let us tell you that more than 10 thousand objections have been lodged by the students on the provisional answer key. NTA is investigating each objection separately. The final answer key will be released only after the opinion of experts, on the basis of which the result will be released.
Actually, on June 21, 2026, NEET UG re-exam was conducted at 14 centers across the country as well as abroad. This re-examination was conducted after the alleged paper leak case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating this entire matter and so far many people have been arrested.
More than 20 lakh took the exam
According to NTA, more than 20 lakh candidates appeared in the re-exam. The examination was conducted at 5,440 centers in India and 14 examination centers abroad. The examination was conducted in 13 languages including Hindi and English, so that students from different states could get convenience. The agency said that this time special arrangements were made at many levels to conduct the examination in a fair and smooth manner. Many agencies of the central and state governments worked together in conducting the examination.

What did NTA say?
Special arrangements were also made for disabled candidates. According to NTA, necessary facilities were provided to more than 10 thousand disabled candidates. Apart from this, separate arrangements were also made for 81 candidates suffering from serious health problems. These included a student recovering from a road accident and a candidate undergoing chemotherapy so that he could take the exam without any problem.
