Actually, two Indian expatriates living in United Arab Emirates (UAE) have won a prize of 1 million dollars each (about Rs 9.52 crore) in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw. The names of these two winners are Mahendihsanaj and Mohammad Shibil Thayyil.

Who is Mahendihsanaz Zamani?
Mahendihsanaz Zamani has won this prize by purchasing ticket number 1324 in Millennium Millionaire Series 538. He had bought this ticket online on 26 February. According to Gulf News, the special thing is that till the time of writing the news, he was not even informed about his victory.
When did Mohammad Shibil buy the ticket?
The second winner, 30-year-old Mohammad Shibil Thayyil, lives in Dubai and works as a salesman at Sharjah Airport International Free Zone. Thayyil, originally from Kerala, went to Dubai in October 2025. He had bought the ticket online on June 18 and won 1 million dollars (about Rs 9.52 crore) from ticket number 4832 in Millennium Millionaire Series 548.
Mohammad Shibil Thayyil got married recently. Expressing happiness over his victory, he said, ‘You changed my life. This is the biggest good news of my life. Many thanks to Dubai Duty Free.

When did this lottery start?
According to reports, the Millennium Millionaire lottery was started in 1999. Since then, 273 Indians have won a prize of $1 million in this scheme. After these two victories this number has increased further.
