Why did gold become expensive?
The prices of gold and silver in India change due to many reasons. Among these, movements in the international market, position of the rupee against the dollar, import duty, GST and domestic demand play important roles. Changes in prices are also seen during wedding and festival seasons.
Keep these things in mind
If you are buying gold, always buy BIS hallmarked jewellery. Also get information about making charges, GST and bill. If you are buying for investment then it would be better to take a decision only after comparing the rates of different jewellers.
