ICC had also fixed prize money for the teams that did not reach the finals. Minimum prize money was fixed for the teams eliminated from the group stage. Under this, each of the total 8 teams that could not make it to the knockout was to receive US$ 247500 i.e. approximately Rs 2.05 crore. England did not have a good start in the final
