An important meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh will be held on July 6 at 3 pm in the guest house of the trust. This meeting will be presided over by Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, while it will be conducted by Trust Treasurer Govind Dev Giri. Earlier, the meetings were conducted by the then General Secretary Champat Rai, but after his resignation, this responsibility is being carried out by Govind Dev Giri.
Former general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra, who resigned after allegations of theft of offerings in the temple on June 26, have also been called in this meeting. The members of the trust will decide by majority vote whether the resignations of both should be accepted or rejected.

These include the decision on the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, review of the preliminary investigation report of the SIT, measures to ensure transparency in the future, consideration of the income-expenditure and financial statements for the financial year 2025-26 and other important topics with the permission of the Speaker.
According to the rules of the trust, two-thirds majority is required to remove a trustee. Before this, a show cause notice is given to the concerned trustee and the final decision is taken only after hearing his side. The Trust Board will also appoint the new trustee and for this also two-thirds majority will be required. The condition of appointment is that the new member must be a Hindu.
After Rai’s resignation, Treasurer Govind Dev Giri called this meeting.
Under normal circumstances, the General Secretary has the right to call a meeting of the Trust, but in extraordinary circumstances, other officials can also call the meeting. After the resignation of Champat Rai, Treasurer Govind Dev Giri has called this meeting. According to the information, some trustees can also attend the meeting through virtual medium due to health reasons.
According to the current arrangement, the trust can have a maximum of 15 members, which includes three ex-officio members and 12 life trustees. One post is already vacant due to the demise of a trustee in August 2025 and if the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra are accepted then two more posts will become vacant in the trust.
