Was namaz really held in Hanumangarhi? BJP leader Brijlal made the claim, former IPS VN Rai said – former DGP is lying

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed in Ayodhya on Friday, July 10 that Namaz was offered on the steps of Hanumangarhi during the Samajwadi Party government. Now reacting to his claim, former Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh and currently Rajya Sabha MP from Bharatiya Janata Party, Brijlal accused the Samajwadi Party of doing appeasement politics.

He claimed that in the year 2003, during the Mulayam Singh Yadav government, it was proposed to organize Roza Iftar near Hanumangarhi in the presence of the then IG Law and Order VN Rai and preparations for Namaz were also made by spreading mats near the stairs.

According to Brijlal, at that time the then SSP of Faizabad, Rajiv Sabarwal informed him about this and after the protest, this effort could not succeed. He says that later Namaz and Roza Iftar were organized at the Mahant’s residence, while the mat spread on the stairs outside the residence was removed by the police.

However, rejecting these allegations of Brijlal, former IPS VN Rai while talking to ABP News said that Brijlal is lying and his claim is completely false.
