Rajpal Yadav Check Bounce Case: Delhi High Court has sentenced Rajpal Yadav to 3 months in different cases in the check bounce case. But the High Court has put a two-month stay on immediate implementation of its decision. With this, Rajpal Yadav has got two more months more time. A big relief has been given by the High Court so that they can challenge this decision of the High Court.
What did Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer Bhaskar Upadhyay say?
According to news agency ANI, Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer Bhaskar Upadhyay said about the relief received from the High Court regarding the check bounce case, ‘The court has not yet given complete relief. At present, he has been given an extension of two months. We need to examine the order sheet and the judgment to understand what has actually been said. Only then will we be able to give you proper information.

Many cases are pending…
Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer said that the action taken by the High Court pertains to many cases. He further informed, ‘Out of Rs 5 crore, we have already deposited about Rs 4.5 crore. However, the problem arises because there are many actions. In one case, the claim is for around Rs 11 crore, while there is a civil decree. For approximately Rs 10.5 crore. Also, there is a criminal case of approximately Rs 11.5 crore, even though all these proceedings relate to the same underlying transaction.’ 
Outstanding liabilities of Rs 11 to 11.5 crore…
Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer further says, ‘Therefore, with respect to the amount deposited before this court, especially with respect to the amount deposited by us earlier, the judge has ruled that the amount we had deposited is approximately Rs 2.5 crore, which will now be adjusted against the outstanding liability of us of approximately Rs 11 to 11.5 crore. Only after reviewing both the judgment and the order first, we will be able to understand the reasoning and legal implications of the judge.’

What did the Delhi High Court say in the check bounce case?
At the same time, Delhi High Court has sentenced Rajpal Yadav to three months imprisonment in 7 different cases in check bounce case. The court also ordered that all the sentences will run concurrently. Therefore, he will have to face a total punishment of three months. The bench of Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma rejected the petitions filed by the actor challenging the lower court’s decision and said that he has already been given several undertakings by several courts, which he did not comply with.
Not only this, a fine of Rs 1.05 crore has also been imposed on Rajpal Yadav by the High Court. In this way, the total fine for seven different cases comes to Rs 7.35 crore. The court said that in each case, Rs 1 crore 4 lakh 75 thousand will be paid to the complainant and Rs 25 thousand will be paid to the state.
