Veteran Bollywood actress Hema Malini has been away from the big screen for a long time. She has not worked in any film for many years and now Hema, who is called ‘Dream Girl’, has herself told the reason behind this. He told that in today’s era such films are being made according to which it will be very difficult for him to adapt himself.
Hema Malini remembered her era
Hema Malini recently recalled her period in an interview given to Zoom and called herself lucky that she got the opportunity to work in that period which was very different and the most golden period of the industry. Hema said, ‘Many women-centric films were made in that period. I then got a chance to work in Sita Aur Geeta, my first film Sapno Ka Saudagar and Khushboo.

I worked in about 2000 films
Hema, who made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Sapno Ka Saudagar’ in 1968, further said that when I think back about my career, I find that I have done around 200 films. Many producers used to cast me in their films again and again.
Because of this I distanced myself from films
Hema further revealed the reason behind distancing herself from Bollywood as an actress. She said, ‘People ask me why I am not doing films? In today’s time, the style of filmmaking has completely changed and it is very difficult for me to adapt myself accordingly.
Hema was last seen in this film
Hema Malini was last seen on the big screen in the film ‘Shimla Mirchi’ which was released in the year 2020. He proved himself with great films like Sholay, Sita Aur Geeta, Satte Pe Satta, Bagwaan, Dream Girl, Naseeb, Kranti, Johnny Mera Naam and Trishul.

Hema Malini is active in politics
Hema Malini has been working as a politician for many years. In the year 2024, she won the Mathura Lok Sabha elections from BJP for the third consecutive time and became MP for the third consecutive time.
