Pakistan Fielding Coach Shane Mcdermott Resignation: On one hand, ECB has dismissed Brendon McCullum from the post of head coach. The cricket world could not even recover from this shock, then a shocking news came from Pakistan. Fielding coach of Pakistan cricket team Shane McDermott has resigned from his post. Shane had been serving as the fielding coach of the Pakistan team for the last one year.
Shane McDermott’s resignation is shocking because after a few days the Pakistan team is going to tour West Indies. There will be two test matches played between the two teams. After that the team will go on England tour, but coach Shane McDermott will not be with the team.
According to news agency PTI, Mansoor Amjad will play the role of fielding coach of Pakistan team on West Indies and England tour. Amjad has been the fielding coach of Pakistan Under-19 team and Pakistan Shaheens. Pakistan Cricket Board has not revealed any reason why Shane McDermott resigned, but it is definitely a matter of concern because in the last few years, foreign coaches have been continuously coming and going in the Pakistan team.

Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie resigned from the post of head coach, while physiotherapist Cliff Deacon was also among the foreign coaches who stepped down from their posts on the staff of the Pakistan cricket team.
Let us tell you that before joining Pakistan team in the year 2025, Shane McDermott was playing the role of assistant fielding coach in Bangladesh cricket team for three years. Before that, for 3 years he was on the post of assistant fielding coach in the Sri Lankan cricket team. Talking about Pakistan cricket team, its Caribbean tour will run from 25th July to 6th August.
