Today, Monday (July 13, 2026), it has been two years since the deadly attack on Donald Trump, the then candidate for the US presidential election in 2025, in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024. Recalling this incident, the US President said that I was very lucky at that time that God was protecting me. He said that both my sons had said that the weapon with which I was shot was very modern and the chances of it missing the target were almost nil.

US President Donald Trump said in a telephone interview to Fox News on Monday (July 13, 2026), ‘I was very lucky at that time that God was protecting me, because my sons Don (Donald Trump Jr.) and Eric, both have a lot of knowledge about weapons, they are fond of hunting. He had said that from such a distance the chances of missing the target with that particular type of rifle (which the US police had recovered from the attacker nearby), were almost nil.
He said, ‘He believed that aiming with that particular type of rifle was as easy as hitting the target from a distance of two feet. He had said that from such a distance the aim is almost accurate with that weapon.

What did Donald Trump say about his chart in the rally??
President Donald Trump further said, ‘When I was addressing people in Butler, I turned my head to see a chart. I had never placed that chart on my right side before, but that day I did so. However, I generally don’t use charts much. In my rallies I use the chart perhaps only once out of every 10 and that too always on my left side, but that day God was with me and the bullet just missed my ears.
