India’s data center sector is now expanding rapidly due to the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing and digital services. This is the reason that in the coming years, this sector will not be limited only to technological development, but will also bring new employment opportunities for millions of youth. According to a new report, by the year 2030, India’s data center industry will require around 1 lakh engineers and technical professionals. So let us know why this sector is growing so fast and in which areas there is going to be the highest demand for jobs.
1 lakh engineers will be needed by 2030
According to the report of NLB Services, India’s data center industry can create a demand for around 1 lakh skilled professionals by 2030. The country’s installed data center capacity is expected to increase from about 1.5 gigawatts (GW) currently to about 6.5 GW by the end of the decade. The market of this industry can be more than 22 billion dollars. According to the report, investment commitments worth more than $126 billion have been made in this sector so far, making it one of the fastest growing infrastructure sectors of the country.
