School of Open Learning (SOL) of Delhi University (DU) has started admissions in graduation (UG) and post graduation (PG) courses for the academic session 2026-27. Now students can fill online applications sitting at home. SOL is considered a good option for those students who cannot go to regular college, want to study along with a job or want to study in open and distance mode for any other reason. Admissions are being taken under the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE).

Two new cases are starting

Director of Campus of Open Learning (COL), Prof. Payal Mago told Abp news that this time SOL is starting two new courses. These include MBA (Healthcare) and B.Sc Computer Science. With the launch of these new courses, students will get new opportunities to study in fast-growing areas like health management and computer science. Preparations were already being done for both these courses and now they are being started in the new session.

New facility added in admission process

This year a new feature has also been added to the admission process. Now the applying students will also get OTP and necessary updates related to admission through WhatsApp on their registered mobile number. This will reduce the need for students to visit the website again and again and the application process will become easier than before. Admissions are already going on in some SOL courses. These include MBA, M.Lib. Science, B.Lib. Courses like Science and PGDADLM are included. Applications for these programs are being taken from June 17 onwards.

Options to learn foreign languages

Apart from this, applications are open for students who want to learn foreign languages ​​in the Open Learning Development Center (OLDC) of the Campus of Open Learning. One year certificate and diploma courses are being conducted here. Students can learn eight foreign languages ​​like German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. These courses are being conducted in collaboration with the respective language departments of Delhi University.

Preparation for online studies also

Pro. Payal Mago said that in the coming time, there are preparations to start these foreign language courses in online mode also. With this, apart from Delhi, students from other states will also be able to easily avail the benefits of these courses. Overall, this time SOL has given more study options to the students through new courses, digital facilities and language related courses.
