Actually, before this upcoming film of Sunny, three of her blockbuster films are going to be re-released in theatres. Sunny Deol’s three blockbuster films will be re-released
Let us tell you that PVR and INOX are re-releasing Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi’s three blockbuster films Damini, Ghatak and Ghayal. These films will be shown especially in theaters before the release of ‘Bantwara 1947’. This special retrospective will run for three weeks, starting with ‘Damini’ on 24th July. After this, ‘Ghatak’ will be re-released in theaters on 31st July and the celebration will end with the re-release of ‘Ghayal’ on 7th August. This screening is also a great preparation for the comeback of Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi in ‘Bantwara 1947’, which will be released in theaters on 14th August.
It was announced on July 17 and PVR INOX’s Instagram caption read, “Action, emotion, great story, revisit Deol-Santoshi’s memorable classic films on the big screen before watching ‘Bantwara 1947’.”
All three films being re-released suddenly won many awards.
Let us tell you that these three re-released films of Sunny and Rajkumar Santoshi not only performed well at the box office but also won many awards. Rajkumar Santoshi received the Filmfare Award for Best Director for ‘Damini’, while Sunny Deol won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his powerful role of lawyer Govind Srivastava. ‘Ghayal’ was Rajkumar Santoshi’s first film as a director and it became one of the biggest films of its time. Sunny Deol received the National Film Award’s Special Jury Award and the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance. The film also won Rajkumar the National Film Award for ‘Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment’.

When is ‘Partition 1947’ releasing?
Now the hit pair of Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi is coming back after years with ‘Bantwara 1947’. Made in collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions, this film is based on Asghar Wajahat’s famous play ‘Jis Lahore Nayi Vekhya, O Jamya E Nayi’. Sunny Deol has played the role of Sikandar Mirza in the film, while Preity Zinta is making a comeback on the big screen through this film. The star cast of the film also includes Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh and Karan Deol. Cinematography by Santosh Sivan and A.R. ‘Bantwara 1947’, composed with Rahman’s music (with lyrics by Javed Akhtar), is going to be released in theaters on August 14.
