The first match of the three-match T20 series between India and Zimbabwe will be played on July 23 at Harare Sports Club. The young Indian team under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer would like to start this series with a win. Although India’s record in Harare has been excellent, considering the current form, the batsmen will not face an easy challenge. In July 2024, India won one match by a huge margin of 100 runs, while in the second match it demonstrated its strength by winning by 10 wickets. In such a situation, the record definitely appears to be in favor of the Indian team.
Fast bowlers can increase the problems of Indian batsmen.
The fast bowlers are expected to get good help in the initial overs on the Harare pitch. Extra bounce and seam movement can cause problems for the batsmen. Indian batsmen were seen struggling in similar conditions in Ireland and England also. Zimbabwe has tall fast bowlers like Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarawa, who can give a tough test to the Indian batting order with the new ball. In such a situation, big innings will be expected from Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Shreyas Iyer and Tilak Verma.
