US Iran Conflict: The tension between America and Iran is continuously deepening. On Wednesday, the US Army carried out air strikes on Iran for the 12th consecutive night. US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that the latest attacks were carried out on the instructions of President Donald Trump. According to CENTCOM, the purpose of these attacks is to weaken Iran’s ability to threaten commercial ships and civilian shipping passing through regional sea lanes. CENTCOM said in the statement that this campaign will continue until Iran’s ability to disrupt sea routes is not further weakened.

Iran’s response amid Trump’s warning
Iran warned that if the US attacked its infrastructure, the region’s oil, gas, electricity and economic facilities would be targeted in response. “Our defense policy is very clear, an eye for an eye. Any attack on Iran or its infrastructure will be met with a powerful and decisive response,” Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on the social media platform X. Iranian officials also said that if necessary they could stop the export of oil from the region, which could deepen the global energy crisis.
Strait of Hormuz becomes the biggest center of tension
The biggest impact of the increasing tension between Iran and America is visible on the Strait of Hormuz. A large part of the oil supply in the world passes through this sea route. International shipping has been affected due to the almost complete blockade of this route by Iran. Its effect was also visible on the prices of crude oil. The price of Brent crude crossed $ 95 per barrel for some time and later remained above $ 94 per barrel. Concern about fuel supply has also increased at the global level.
America says that if Iran gets control of this sea route, it will prove to be a dangerous example for global trade and security.
Danger increases due to threat of Houthi rebels in Bab-el-Mandeb
The tension has now extended beyond the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea. Iran-backed Yemen’s Houthi rebels have threatened to target Saudi Arabian oil ships passing through the Bab-al-Mandeb Strait. This sea route connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and is considered extremely important for global trade. Five oil tankers changed course in the Red Sea after threats from Houthi rebels. Saudi Arabia is also now sending its oil tankers through alternative routes, increasing both travel time and transportation costs. Officials say that if there is a disruption in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, it could have a major impact on global shipping and energy supplies.
Conflict increased after ceasefire broke
The latest military action has started after the breakdown of the ceasefire agreement in June. After the end of the ceasefire, America has intensified attacks in different parts of Iran.
