Petrol-Diesel Rate Today on July 24: Despite the increase in the prices of crude oil in the international market, the prices of petrol and diesel remain stable in the country today. It is a matter of relief for the common consumers of the country that even after the global surge in oil prices. Government oil marketing companies (OMCs) have not increased fuel prices at the retail level.
The price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 102.12 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 95.20 per liter. At the same time, the price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 111.21 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 97.83 per liter.
Since when have the rates not been changed?
The last change in the prices of petrol and diesel in India was on May 25. During that time, the price of petrol was increased by Rs 2.61 per liter and the price of diesel was increased by Rs 2.71 per liter. In view of the continuous increase in the prices of crude oil in the international market, the prices were increased four consecutive times in the month of May.
First of all, a big increase of about Rs 3 was made on May 15. Then on May 19, the prices were increased by about 90 paise. After this, on May 23, the rate was again increased by about 90 paise. Finally, on May 25, the fourth increase of Rs 2.61-2.71 per liter was made. Overall, within these 10 days, petrol became costlier by about Rs 7.35 and diesel by Rs 7.53 per liter.

Where is the cheapest petrol and diesel?
The highest price of petrol in Hyderabad is Rs 115.69 per liter. After this, Thiruvananthapuram is at second place, where the price of petrol is Rs 115.49 per liter.
On the other hand, among the cities included in the list, the price of petrol in Chandigarh is the lowest at Rs 98.10 per liter. Compared to many metro cities, petrol prices in Lucknow and New Delhi also remain low – Rs 102.05 and Rs 102.12 per liter respectively.
Talking about diesel, the highest price in Thiruvananthapuram has been recorded at Rs 104.40 per litre. After this, the price of diesel in Hyderabad is Rs 103.82 per litre. Among the cities included in the list, the price of diesel in Chandigarh is the lowest at Rs 86.09 per liter.
