After the ongoing agitation at Jantar Mantar ended, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) opened the entry gates of all the stations of Delhi Metro network on Saturday evening. Earlier, due to security reasons, entry and exit services at many metro stations were temporarily closed.
DMRC posted on social media platform X, saying, “Entry gates of all metro stations of Delhi Metro network have now been opened.” Earlier, after the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, DMRC had announced the restoration of services at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat metro stations.

Entry was closed at 18 metro stations
In view of the ongoing student protest and security arrangements at Jantar Mantar on Saturday morning over the NEET paper leak issue, DMRC had suspended entry and exit services at 18 metro stations in Central Delhi till further orders.
According to DMRC advisory, the entry and exit gates of Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhamba Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, Jhandewalan and New Delhi Metro stations were closed. Now normal operations have been restored at all stations.
CJP’s protest ends
Meanwhile, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Saturday announced the end of its ongoing agitation at Jantar Mantar. This decision was taken after the third round of talks with the central government. Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Union Minister Jitendra Singh and CJP representatives Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were present in the joint press conference held in New Delhi.
In the meeting, the central government agreed to accept the major demands of the protesters. JP Nadda said that the government has decided to withdraw all the police cases registered against the protesting students, give written confirmation of withdrawal of FIR and give maximum possible compensation to the families of the students who lost their lives in the incidents related to the alleged paper leak controversy.
At the same time, CJP leaders said that the government has accepted all the major demands raised during the movement. After this he appealed to the students to end their protest and return home. On behalf of CJP, Saurav Das said that the government has accepted all the demands, hence there is no justification in continuing the protest at Jantar Mantar.
