The third and final match of the three-match T20 series is being played between India and Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club. In the last match of the series, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss, and decided to bat first. There have been two major changes in India’s playing eleven. Zimbabwe has also made changes in its team.
Fast bowler Prince Yadav and all-rounder Shivam Dubey are not playing today. In their place, speed star Ashok Sharma and all-rounder Suryansh Shedge have got a chance. There has also been a change in the Zimbabwe team. Wellington Masakadza has got a chance in place of Richard Ngarwa.
After the toss, Shreyas Iyer said, we will bat first because we are playing on the same wicket and hopefully the pitch will gradually become slow. Are you satisfied with the performance of the pitch yesterday? In response to this question he said, of course we scored 220 runs and the boys made a great start. It’s thrilling to come this morning and reflect on my previous performance and obviously I want to repeat the same performance.
On the approach of Indian batsmen, Iyer said, it will be important for us to adapt as soon as possible. There is no guarantee how the wicket will play. Will it be the same as yesterday or not? But the sooner we adapt, the better it will be for us, and then we will try to score a big score.
