The Indian cricket team has to go on a tour of Sri Lanka next month i.e. in August. Team India has to play a two-match test series in Sri Lanka. Before this tour, 5 players of India are injured. In such a situation, BCCI has not yet announced Team India for the Sri Lanka series. India’s tour of Sri Lanka will start with the first Test on 15th August. However, due to injury of 5 players simultaneously, the tension of captain Shubman Gill and coach Gautam Gambhir has increased.

The Indian team is facing a fitness crisis before the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. There are concerns over the fitness or availability of Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah and Sai Sudarshan, while Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy have been dropped from the team. Due to non-availability of these five players, the team’s combination seems to be deteriorating.

Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the first Test due to an injury to his right hamstring during the ODI series in England. His availability in the second test will depend on further fitness tests.

2- Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah is racing against time to prove his fitness after suffering injury/swelling in his left knee during the second ODI in England. He is taking rest till July 30 before reporting to the Center of Excellence (CoE) for recovery.

3- Sai Sudarshan

Sai Sudarshan is being medically monitored and is recovering with time. However, it is being said that he is recovering well.

4- Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana is unavailable due to re-emergence of fitness issues and is completely out of selection.

5- Nitish Kumar Reddy

Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the selection as he is recovering from a knee injury and continues rehab.
