Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to be serious about education reforms, along with administrative changes in NTA, he has also accepted the resignation of former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Now this responsibility has been handed over to Prahlad Joshi.
PM Modi has now shared the third video on Instagram. In this he has announced that a high level task force on examination reforms has been formed under the chairmanship of Shri Nandan Nilekani.

PM Narendra Modi said in his video message, ‘Friends, the Government of India is taking many steps for the future of the students. Those who have played with the future of students are rotting in jails. We have made a fast track court. Tomorrow we are moving towards making new laws with the provision of strict laws even inside the Parliament. But we have to think about the future. Our examination method should be reliable. Our examination system should be transparent. There should be maximum use of technology in our examination system. Keeping all these things in mind, it has been decided to form a high power task force under the leadership of world renowned technology expert Mr. Nandan Neele. Which will focus towards examination reform. And the examination system coming soon will be based on its report.

Nandan Nilekani is the co-founder of Infosys. He has also been the first president of UIDAI Aadhaar. He led the Aadhaar Work Project. He has played an important role in developing India’s digital public infrastructure. He has made an important contribution in the journey of Digital India.
Government will bring amendment bill related to education reform in the House on July 27
The government is also bringing a bill on Monday to improve the examination system. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will present the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 on 27 July 2026.
This bill will be introduced under the agenda of legislative work. A notification related to this has also been issued by the government. Earlier, after the students’ agitation that lasted for more than a month, the government accepted their demands after three rounds of talks. Besides, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also resigned from his post, which has been accepted by the government. In his place, additional charge has been given to Union Minister Prahlad Patel. After the NEET UG paper leak, the government has to face huge opposition from the streets to the Parliament.
