Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Iran will be one of the most important issues in his meeting with President Donald Trump in the US. Apart from this, the ongoing security operation in the West Bank and matters related to the International Criminal Court (ICC) will also be discussed.
Before leaving for America, Netanyahu said in the weekly cabinet meeting that he was going to Washington on the invitation of President Trump. There he will meet Trump and discuss many pending issues including the situation in Iran. He also told that he will also attend the memorial meeting of late US Senator Lindsey Graham. Netanyahu described Graham as a true and old friend of Israel.
Referring to the ongoing security operations in the West Bank, Netanyahu said that Israeli security forces have been instructed to search villages, seize weapons and arrest suspects. He claimed that action has been taken at many places and this campaign is still going on.
Netanyahu said security forces also took action at a hospital in Nablus, where some suspects were hiding. He said that many suspects have been detained and preparations are being made to demolish the houses of some of the accused. According to him, security agencies are ready to take action on a large scale against terrorist hideouts.

Netanyahu criticized ICC
Prime Minister Netanyahu also strongly criticized the International Criminal Court (ICC). He alleged that recent events have exposed the corruption within the ICC. He said that the then Chief Prosecutor of the court, Karim Khan, had been accused of sexual harassment by many women.
Netanyahu’s claim
Netanyahu claims that Karim Khan withdrew his promise to review Israel’s justice system and later proceeded to issue arrest warrants against him and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant. Netanyahu alleged that this step was taken to divert attention from the allegations against him. He said that now the action taken against Karim Khan has exposed his alleged intentions and the problems existing within the ICC. According to Netanyahu, this matter is not limited to just one person, but it has raised questions on the functioning of the entire institution.
