The Indian team played 3 T20 and one ODI series in the last one month, but now Team India will play the Test series. The Indian team will go to Sri Lanka, where a two-match Test series will be played. This series is very important for India, because this series is part of the World Test Championship. Players like Shreyas Iyer, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Suryansh Shedge, Shivam Dubey, Prince Yadav, Ashok Sharma, Mayank Yadav, Rinku Singh will be out. However, BCCI has not yet announced Team India for the Sri Lanka tour.
According to the report, BCCI will announce the Indian team for the Sri Lanka tour on Tuesday, July 28. Many young players can be seen in the Test series against Sri Lanka, because five main players of India are not fit for this tour. This includes Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Sai Sudarshan, Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Due to non-availability of these five players, many new players may get a chance.
