The trade window is open before IPL 2027, Hardik Pandya is the most talked about. It is reported that in exchange of Hardik, Chennai Super Kings is ready to give Rs 10 crore in cash along with Shivam Dubey and Dewald Brevis. However, this has not been confirmed from any side. Now former cricketer Aakash Chopra has put forward his reaction on this. Akash says that giving 2 players in place of Hardik will create a new problem for CSK in middle order batting.
MI will not work without the bowler
Aakash Chopra first raised the question that what will Mumbai Indians do if they let Hardik Pandya go and in return get two middle order batsmen in the form of Shivam Dubey and Dewald Brevis. Akash said that MI needs bowlers. The former cricketer advised that Mumbai should also demand a bowler in the trade, because without a bowler, MI will not be able to function.

Deal not beneficial for CSK also
Aakash Chopra also termed this possible deal as not beneficial for CSK. He said, “With the arrival of Hardik Pandya, the lack of an all-rounder in Chennai will be filled, but in return you will give two middle order batsmen in the form of Shivam Dubey and Dewald Brevis, then how will the work work.”
Both Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are looking for the best combination. On one hand, Mumbai Indians have failed to win the IPL title after 2020 and have failed to reach the playoffs in 2 out of the last 3 seasons. On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings has been seen struggling after becoming champion in 2023. Aakash Chopra told that according to him this deal is not beneficial for both the teams.
