But today is Maharashtra Day on 1 May 2025 and the stock market will be closed on this occasion. The reason for this is NSE i.e. National Stock Exchange and BSE i.e. Bombay Stock Exchange is in Mumbai. That is, there will be no trading in any kind of equity, derivatives, currency and SLB today.

The stock market may be closed but partial trading will be done on MCX and it will be from 5 pm to eleven in the evening. During this time, investors will be able to do business in silver, crude oil and other commodity products.

The stock market is closed due to Maharashtra Day on 1 May. On August 15, there will be no trading due to Independence Day. Apart from this, NSE and BSE will also be closed on Ganesh Chaturthi on 27 August. On October 2, the market will also be closed on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. While there will be no trading on Diwali on 21-22 October. On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti on 5 November, the market will remain closed, while on December 25, NSE-BSE will also be closed on the occasion of Christmas.

A day before, on 30 April i.e. Wednesday, the stock market opened on the first red mark but then recovered. Later at the end of the trading day, the Sensex fell 272 points to close at 80,016 while the Nifty had fallen nearly 90 points to close at 24,246. Now the next business in the stock market will be on 2 May i.e. Friday. Here, now everyone’s eyes will be above the quarterly results and global signals of companies coming.
