Digvijaya Singh on Caste Census: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh said about the attack in Pahalgam that the whole country is united on the terrorist attack. The Congress party has expressed this by passing the resolution. The Congress party has neither signed nor will ever compromise against terrorism. This has been the objective of the Congress to be tightened against terror. The more condemnation of the Pahalgam incident is as low.
In response to a question asked about the caste census, Digvijay Singh said that the government had to decide for caste census by coming under pressure from the firmness with which Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of caste census.
He explained the BJP, which raised questions about the caste census on the Congress, why his big leaders kept making statements against the caste census in the last five years. Now even though the center has come late but it has come. He said that he welcomes this goodwill to the government.
Congress leaders and MPs had arrived for a meeting of Shimla Parliamentary Committee. After the meeting, he was seen answering media questions in a defensive manner.
