Karun Nair became ‘Golden Duck’ in the match on Monday. He started the Delhi Capitals innings with Faf du Plessis. But on the very first ball of the match, Pat Cummins caught him out of the back of the wicket. He has been flopping continuously since playing a brilliant innings of 89 runs in the first match of IPL 2025, after which he was trolled badly on social media. People are making fun of their old tweets.
Prior to IPL 2025, Karun Nair did well in domestic cricket. Nair, who played 6 Tests, 2 ODIs, played the last international match in 2017. On 10 December 2022, Karun Nair wrote a tweet, “Dear cricket, give me another chance.” (Dear Cricket, GOVE ME ONE More Chance). After a good performance in domestic, the fans were also praising him, demanding that the BCCI should give him a chance. But after the continuous flop in IPL 2025, he is now being trolled.
Karun Nair performs in IPL 2025
He scored 89 runs against Mumbai Indians on 13 April, this was his first match of this season. But after this he was dismissed for zero against Rajasthan. After the innings of 89, he has scored a total of 65 runs in 6 innings.
A user trolled him in the style of his tweet and wrote, “Dear cricket, please do not give him another chance.” Another user wrote, “Surprised once in the Test, once shocked in IPL 2025, but PR game states that he is Bradman. Overred and over hyped.”

DC was reduced to 133, rain saves defeat
Faf du Plessis (3) was also dismissed by Pat Cummins in the third over after the first wicket fell as Karun Nair. Abhishek Porel (8), KL Rahul (10), Akshar Patel (6) were also dismissed cheaply, half of the team of Delhi Capitals returned to the pavilion on a score of 29. That is Triston Stabs (41) and Ashutosh Sharma (41) saved the shame and brought the score of Delhi Capitals to 133.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings could not start due to rain, and the match was canceled. Delhi and Hyderabad got 1-1 points, although Hyderabad wanted to win. Hyderabad has become the third team to be out of IPL 2025.
