Now the body will become a charging station future wearables will power themselves with 6g signs

Future wearable devices: In a new research, scientists have shown that human body can be used in the coming time to charge wearable devices. Researchers at the University of Massachusetts Amharst have stated that the radio frequency (RF) energy released during 6G wireless technology can be gathered through the body to give power to the wearable devices.

How does this system work?

According to the information, this technique is based on VLC (Visible Light Communication) in which the data is transferred through a sharp glow of LED lights. However, along with LED lights, RF energy is also leaked which can be collected from small coil of copper. When this copper’s coil touches human skin, the capacity to collect energy increases by 10 times.

No better medium than body

Research also found that RF is more effective in collecting RF signals than other substances like human body, wood, plastic or steel. Apart from this, scientists have created a cheap and simple device called “Bracelet+” which can be worn in the hand. It is a copper wire’s coil that costs only 50 cents (about ₹ 40). It can also be designed as chains, rings or belts. This device can create energy up to micro-watts which is sufficient for low power sensors such as health tracking.

Battery life of smartwatch and smart rings will get boost

The current smartwoches like Apple Watch have to be charged daily, so that they cannot be used for a long time. But technology like Bracelet+ can be charged by weerable devices on their own, provided they support any such power-sources.

However, this technology is currently in the research stage and 6G networks, especially VLC based networks, are now developing. But this discovery can make human body a natural charger of technology in future.
